Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo scored a spectacular hat-trick to fire the club into the Champions League quarter-finals with a 3-0 win over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday and brought Juventus back from a 2-0 deficit to a thrilling 3-2 aggregate.

The Portuguese superstar scores two headers both side of half-time and blasted home the decisive goal from a penalty with four minutes to seal the triumph.

Five-time Champions League winner Ronaldo suggested Juventus brought him to the club “to help do things they have never done before” after his hat-trick heroics.

He has scored eight hat-tricks in the competition, pulling him level with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and took his international tally in his favorite club competition, where he is the all-time leading scorer, to 124.

“This was why Juventus brought me here, to help do things that they have never done before”, says Ronaldo “This is the mentality that you need to win the Champions League.”

“I just do my work and I am very happy tonight. It was a magical night.  Atletico was always difficult to face, but we are strong and we proved it.”
