Both the teams are coming from defeat from their previous matches and they will be looking to turn the things around when they clash on the boxing day at Optus Stadium, Perth on 26th December.

The Strikers had a mixed start of their campaign. They won their first match against Brisbane Heat with 5 wickets to spare where the Alex Carey was the highest run scorer with 70 and Rashid Khan was awarded the man of the match for his 3 wicket haul. He was evenly supported by Billy Stanlake and Allrounder M Short. But smell the defeat against Melbourne Renegades who came back from 86/5 to 176/5. Thanks to the 90 run partnership of Nabi and Christian.

The Adelaide Strikers have made two change with Paceman Wes Agar comes in for Peter Siddle and Harry Nielsen comes in for Liam O’Connor.

On the other hand, Perth Scorchers are at the bottom of the BBL08 ladder with 2 defeat in 2 matches. In the First match, they were bundled out for mere 103 against Melbourne Renegades and in the match against Sydney Sixers, their Batting could not chase 164.

They will be motivated by the fact that they have won last three head to head matches against the strikers and also the fact that this is their home ground. With the formidable bowling lineup consisting Nathan Coulter-Nile, Jason Behrendorff and Andrew Tye they would be hoping that their batsman can put up a much better show then they have done in past two matches. Their batting needs to take more responsibility particularly Klinger, Turner and Cartwright in order to win this match.

Even though defeats in the previous matches, they might go with the same team.

Probable Line-ups:

Adelaide Strikers: Alex Carey(Wk), Jake Weatherald, Colin Ingram (c), Matthew Short, Michael Neser, Jonathan Wells, Jake Lehmann, Cameron Valente, Billy Stanlake, Rashid Khan, Ben Laughlin.

Perth Scorchers: Sam Whiteman (wk), Michael Klinger, David Willey, Ashton Turner (c), Hilton Cartwright, Ashton Agar, William Bosisto, Jason Behrendorff, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Andrew Tye, Jhye Richardson.
