Youth Olympics and Asian Games Champion, Saurabh Chaudhary continued his medal hunt by claiming his fourth individual gold medal in as many months with a top finish in the 11th Asian Airgun Championship held in Kuwait City, Kuwait on Thursday.

Son of a farmer from Meerut first combined with compatriots Arjun Singh Cheema and Anmol Jain to log a total of 1731 to win the team gold and fetched the individual gold with 239.8 in the eight-man individual final to end up with 2 gold medals.

The teenage sensation from India won many titles in his name in the recent past which includes the Asian Games in August, World Shooting Championship in September and the Youth Olympics at Argentina last month.

Arjun secured the second position with a score of 237.7 and Chinese Taipei’s Huang Wei-Te bagged the bronze medal with a score of 218 .0, denying India a clean sweep of medals in the event. Anmol finished fourth with a score of 195.1.

India’s tally in the ongoing event with this rose to 10 medals including 3 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals.

Manu Bhaker and Abhidnya Patil are also planning to compete in the junior women’s 10 m air pistol finals soon
