How To Play Points Rummy?

  • With a pre-decided point value of Rs 0.05, the players start playing.
  • After a toss decides which player will play first, 13 cards are dealt randomly to every player.
  • The game is declared up and running when the first card from the pack is placed in the open deck.
  • The objective is to arrange all the thirteen in-hand cards in sequences and/or sets.
  • Each player takes turns to pick a card or discard a card from either of the closed or open decks.
  • Once you have all thirteen cards in a sequence then you must declare the cards in hand.
  • Players also have the drop option in case he/she feels less confident about winning the game to minimise the number of points by which they lose.
  • If a player drops on their very first turn then they lose just 20 points. However, after the first turn, a player loses 40 points after dropping.

2.101 Pool Rummy

A perfect rummy game to relax and play with your friends and family. Pool Rummy is the longest variant of rummy. The 13 card rummy consists of various deals as the players try to keep their score as low as possible. The first one to reach 101 points gets eliminated.

How To Play 101 Pool Rummy?

  • The players join a Pool Rummy table with a fixed entry fee of Rs 5. This entry fee is used to form the prize pool.
  • The rules of Pool Rummy is the same as Points Rummy with the only difference being the elimination of players.
  • After the players are dealt 13 random cards each, it’s their goal to arrange all the cards in their hands in sets or sequences as quickly as possible.
  • The winner of every deal gets zero points and the players try to keep their total as low as possible.
  • The players to reach 101 points or over are out of the game.
  • The winner is decided when a player is the last one on the table or the remaining players decide to split the winnings amongst themselves.
  • The split option is valid only when three or less than three players agree upon it. Then the winning amount gets split amongst them.

3.Deals Rummy

One of the most exciting variations of the rummy game the play revolves around a fixed number of deals. This variant of rummy deals with chips that are allotted to the players at the start of the game. The player with the maximum number of chips at the end of the game is declared the winner.

How To Play Deals Rummy?

  • There is a fixed entry of Rs 5 for all players who wish to play a game of deals. The entry fee is used to form the prize pool.
  • Each player is allocated a fixed number of chips at the start of the game.
  • The number of deals is allotted according to the number of players that are on the table.
  • 13 cards are randomly distributed amongst the players and the first card drawn from the pack and placed in the open deck signals the start of the game.

  • To declare themselves the winner, a player must have at least two sequences, one of which should be a pure sequence.

  • If a player feels less confident of winning the game then he/she can use the drop option. Although in this case, the drop option is available in only six-player deals and not two-player deals.
  • A player loses by 20 points if he/she decides to drop in the first round. After that, a player will lose by 40 points for dropping after the first round.

4. 201 Pool Rummy

The longest variant of the Pool Rummy is also one of the longest forms of rummy played online. 5. POOL 61

How is Pool Played?

  • A Pool game has multiple deals where winner of every deal gets 0 points, other players gets points which are added to their score.
  • Players try to keep their scores as low as possible, deal after deal, the players whose score reaches to or over 61 are out of the game.
  • You win the game when you are last player left on the table or Split the money with other players as explained below.

  • In Pool Players pay a fixed entry fee to play a game which is used to form the prize pool.

What is the DROP option?

  • If a player drops on their first turn, they lose by 15 points. If Player drops after their first turn they lose by 30 points. If Player does invalid declaration, they lose 60 points.
  • Drop is used by a player when he/she feels less confident of winning and intends to minimize points by which they lose.

What is the Split option?

  • Split option allows winning amount in a pool game to be split among more than 1 player if all players left in the game agree.
  • Split option shows up when
    a. There are 3 or less than 3 players left on the table AND
    b. At least one player has been eliminated AND
    c. If the scores of players left on the table are close enough.
