It was the fourth ball of the final over of the Windies innings when Keemo Paul attempted the Helicopter shot which failed miserably as the ball did not go in the air but went along the ground. Even though the execution of the hand movement was perfect, he failed to judge the length of the ball.
Paul, nevertheless ended up as the second highest scorer of the Windies team with an unbeaten 15 off 13 balls as the visitors ended up in 109 for 8 in 20 overs.
The man who was the author of this famous shot was however not present to witness this at Eden gardens on Sunday. He was dropped from the T20 team due to the poor batting form and selectors have decided to look ahead to the 2020 World T20, where Dhoni is unlikely to feature.
