Andhra will confront Bengal in a Zone B match tonight. Last time the Andhra team had a tie with UP and are now set in the third position in the Zone B table with 24 points from 4 matches. The Bengal team too had a 30-30 tie against UP and are set in the fifth position in the points table with 22 points from 7 matches.
It is reasonable to say that the Andhra’s raiding unit has not conveyed up to the desires and it’s been their defense which has outshined more. Their raiding unit driven by Rahul Chaudhari figured out only 13 points in the last match and Rahul has not been at his best from the starting of the season. He has dealt with a decent but not inconceivable count of points and has scored 57 points from 7 matches. Mohsen Maghsoudlou and Nilesh Salunke have scored 25 and 33 points individually. Their defense though has been brilliant. Driven by Captain Vishal Bharadwaj in the left corner and Abozar Mighani in the right corner, Vishal has been excellent until now and has scored 26 points from 6 matches at a normal rate of 4.34 points per match, and right corner Abozar Mighani has 25 from 6 matches at a normal rate of 4.18 points per match.
Maninder Singh returned in the last match after injury and was Bengal’s best player by some edge against UP as he scored 14 points in the match. He has scored 63 points from 6 matches and has been their best raider. Mahesh Goud had a terrible trip against UP scoring only 1 point while Jang Kun Lee scored 4 points. The Korean has scored 36 points from 7 matches and will hope to score better in the upcoming matches. Shrikanth Tewatia in the right corner had the most noteworthy tackle points against UP as he scored 3 points and has 14 points from 6 matches. Ran Singh, in the left corner, was absent in the last match due to injury and will be back for this match. Captain and right cover Surjeet Singh had an awful excursion scoring only 1 point and has amassed 21 from 7 matches.
Both the groups will search for a win which will get them into second place behind UP or Bengaluru. Andhra’s iron solid defense will look to bind the Bengal raiders and let Rahul and his group, finish the action. The Bengal team will trust that alternate raider will support Maninder in getting raid points off the Andhra team and pulverize them while defending.
