Manchester City continues their title defence against Bournemouth in this Premier League preview, with records seemingly set to tumble once again this season. The Blues have netted an incredible 40 goals already, while Bournemouth has made an excellent start to the campaign too.
Manchester City brings their unbeaten record into their 14th game of the season on Saturday. They’ve only drawn twice, but Liverpool are only two points behind and the pressure’s on City to keep winning. Bournemouth is eighth in the table and just two points off sixth-placed Everton. They’ve lost their last three matches though so the Cherries could use a result here. Last weekend, Pep Guardiola’s men have some fun in London, giving West Ham United a defeat they won’t soon forget, 4-0.
Bournemouth are still 8th in the Premier League rankings after they’ve lost their last three games with the same score, 1-2. First, it was a home defeat against Manchester United, followed by another one at Newcastle and finally came the one with Arsenal, on Vitality Stadium. The visitors opened the score in the 30th minute after a Lerman own-goal but had the strength to get back on the scoreboard before halftime when King stroke it perfectly past Leno in the first minute of additional time. Aubameyang scored the winning goal from the six yards box following a perfect cross by Kolasinac.
Probable Line-ups:
Manchester City: Ederson (GK); Danilo, Stones, Otamendi, Zinchenko; Fernandinho, Delph; Bernardo, D.Silva, Sane; Aguero.
Bournemouth: Begovic (GK); Francis, S.Cook, Ake, Ming; Cook, Gosling; Brooks, King, Fraser; Wilson.
My PlayerzPot XI:
PlayerzPot Prediction:
Manchester City is likely to dominate Bournemouth in this one. Bournemouth will do get a chance to rise but they are likely to slip those chances.
