Tom Cooper’s Melbourne Renegades will take on the unbeaten Hobart Hurricane on 7th January at Docklands Stadium, Melbourne.

Melbourne Renegades stands at 6th position on the BBL 08 points table with two wins in the five-match they played. Team’s batting had been really poor as none of the players has shown consistent performance. The opening pair of the team is still not decided as the team has changed it 4 times in the last 5 matches. Cameron Boyce took  2 wickets with an economy of 4 per over. Daniel Christian was good with bowling in the last match but then disappointed team with his batting. Three all-rounders namely Christian, Nabi, and Wildermuth have to perform for the team in the match against Hurricanes.

Finch comes into the 13 man’s squad at the expense of Joe Mennie.

Hurricanes are the best team of the tournament till now as they haven’t lost a single match in this season. They have won all the five matches they played till now to register their seat on top of the points table. D’Arcy Short has been the top scorer for the team with 257 runs for an average of 51.40. Bailey has been a regular finisher for the team and played a 30 runs inning with a strike rate of 177. Faulkner and Botha are regular wicket-taker for the team and also took 3 wickets each last match. The team would be expecting a lot more from Jofra Archer as he hasn’t shown what he is capable of. The team looks balanced from all the aspects and would like to repeat the same what they have done till now.
