Starting from January 9th, Khelo India Youth Games brings 6000+ athletes from all around India to reflect the diversity of the nation’s youth and showcase their dreams to make India shine on global platforms.
This prestigious sports event of India will bring many arms like Indian Olympic Association(IOC), Sports Authority of India(SAI), National Sports Federation, Associations of Indian Universities and School Games Federation of India under one single roof.
The participants come from the wide range of age-group of 10-21 yrs and from both rural and urban India to compete in 18 various disciplines which comprise of both individual and group events.
Athletes like Jisna Mathew, 2016 Rio Olympic participant also will take part in this mega event. Also experienced youngsters like backstroke swimming specialist Srihari Nataraj and 10-year old athletes including Jharkand’s Pratima Kumar, 10m air-rifle shooter Abhinav Shaw from West Bengal and hockey player Laltanchhungi from Mizoram will compete in this large-scale multi-discipline sports event.
