Perfection is best when there’s no stopping to what you started! Virat Kohli yet again proved that no one can stop this run machine to break records.

Virat Kohli yet again added another feather to his cap after he went past West Indies’ batting legend Brian Lara for surpassing the tally of most one-day international ODI runs. Cricket fans at McLean Park in Napier witness the 30-year old Indian captain batting his way to reach amongst the legends during first of the five ODI matches of India vs New Zealand.

Before the proceedings of the match, Kohli needed only 21 runs to go past Brian Lara. Kohli, who became the first Indian captain to lead a team to a Test series win on Australian soil, scored 45 off 59 balls and India dismantled New Zealand by 8-wickets in their first match of the New Zealand Test campaign.

Kohli managed to put a hold of his feet in the top 10 of the elite ODI highest run-scorers’ list. He currently scored 10,430 runs in 212 innings.

The list is topped by Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar himself with 18,426 runs under his belt. He is followed by Sourav Ganguly (11,363) and Rahul Dravid (10,889) in the top 10 of highest run-scorers in ODI cricket.
