No matter the circumstances, the young pacer seems to find a way to get a major breakthrough and be the point of difference for his team.
A. Taide (Punjab)
No wonder a target of 258 would be nearly impossible for Punjab to chase against Lucknow but still even when the odds were against them, the young all-rounder A. Taide rose to the occasion. He was not fazed by the fact his team is probably going to lose and went about his business with the bat, a thunderous 66 off 36 balls saw Punjab make an effort to try and reach the target. In a season where S. Dhawan’s fitness has been an issue it was about time someone started pulling the weight in the top batting order.
S. Curran (Punjab)
He has been leading the team in the absence of S. Dhawan and he has done a pretty good job so far. Known for batting well and doing damage with the bat, perhaps it is time that Punjab let the English all-rounder play his natural game without any added responsibilities. He has been bowling well in the tournament so far and his team will be looking towards him to produce the goods now that they are entering the business end of the tournament.
