The highest-placed female player, Allison Hollander, ended her game in sixth place as she moved all-in from the big blind with king-queen. Takao remained on the table with his ace-seven as Allison went home with $31000.
Brian Monigold wrapped up with a payout of $41000 in fifth place. He lost a flip to Trent Hopper, who was not the dominant stack at the final table in the beginning. However, suddenly, he turned his game around.
As Takao took out Hollander, he moved all in with ace-deuce but eventually lost to De Faria. Takao went home in fourth place with a cash out of $54000.
The Argentine player Nicolas Betbese was dominating the pre-flop. But he lost to De Faria’s ace-jack in the post-flop. Betbese went home with $72000.
It was now between De Faria, who held 20.6 million chips, and Trent Hopper, 18.1 million. The battle was tense but not long. Although Hopper had an early lead in the final bout, De Faria bounced back when he shoved with queen-nine in the final hand.
Trent Hopper claimed the runners-up prize of a massive $97000. De Faria emerged victorious in the World Poker Tour with a $155400.
Before De Faria won the WPT Prime Voyage Championship, his lifetime earnings, according to Hendon Mob, were just $14062.
