Former India captain Sourav Ganguly on Wednesday has lashed out after his teammate and Indian legend Rahul Dravid was served a conflict of interest from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
“God helps Indian Cricket”, he said expressing his displeasure and disappointment regarding this matter. “New fashion in Indian cricket…conflict of interest…. Best way to remain in news… God help Indian cricket…. Dravid gets the conflict of interest notice from BCCI Ethics Officer,” Ganguly took to Twitter.
Ganguly was then backed off by former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh who was also displeased with the way legendary cricketers were treated and replied to Ganguly’s tweet. “Really?? Don’t know where it is heading to… u can’t get a better person than him for Indian cricket. Sending notice to such legends is like insulting them. Cricket needs services for betterment. Yes, God saves Indian cricket”, Harbhajan tweeted.
Rahul Dravid was given two weeks’ time to reply to the allegations made against him as he is the current National Cricket Academy (NCA) director and vice-president of Indian Cement Group, which owns the Indian Premier League(IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings.
