Indian shooter Anish Bhanwala won his second ISSF Junior World Cup gold in the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol, to continue India’s dominance in Suhl, Germany. The rising star of India topped the qualification with 584 and shot 29 in the final round to finish on top of the podium.

Competing on day four, the Commonwealth Games gold medallist gave Egor Ismakov of Russia a shockwave of 29-23 to clinch the gold to top the charts and lead three-man Indian contingent into the six-man final. Last year he has won his first Junior World Cup gold in Sydney. Since then, he also made it to his first senior final this year.

While his Russian opponent shot 23 for silver, German Florian Peter won bronze with 19, defeating India’s Adarsh Singh in a shoot-off who shot a score of 17.

Agneya Kaushik reached the sixth position with nine hits who combined with Rajkanwar Singh Sandhu and Udhayaveer  Sidhu to win the team bronze with a total of 1709 while Anish, Adarsh Singh, and Harshavardhan Yadav finished a point behind in fourth.
