Jose Mourinho who wants to return to the game before the start of the next season wants his next club to be one where “internal empathy” exists and not “internal conflict”.
The 56-year-old Portuguese who was sacked by the famous Manchester United after a two and a half year spell last December had a series of bust-ups with senior players and poor results. The owners eventually pulled the plug on his tenure with the club sitting on the sixth position in the Premier League.
Mourinho expressed that money was not the priority and admitted that he turned down a lucrative offer from an unnamed club because “he wants high-level football and ambitions at the highest level”.
“I don’t want internal conflict”, said Jose Mourinho who has earned the reputation of confronting senior players at the clubs that he has managed.
“You now have the generation of players who are not just players but comes as a package,” he told the Telegraph. “You have the player, the family, the agent, the entourage, the director of communication. When you have a player you have all these distractions.
“And if there is no empathy in the structure of the club you get into so many contradictions that are really difficult to work.”
