While he is enjoying holidays with wife Anushka Sharma on a trekking trip to Bhutan. Both of them shared photos from their social media accounts. While sharing the photos, the actress mentioned they were touched by the love and warmth of a local family who offered them tea as they got tired during their long trek. And how the family was not even aware of their celebrity status yet they displayed such great hospitality & affection.
In a career spanning more than a decade, Kohli has delighted the cricketing world and broken records left, right & center. And his peers’ sure value his brilliance which is visible through the adulation he has received from them in the form of birthday wishes. Legends like Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman, Harbhajan Singh have written some kind words for him on twitter. Not to mention his current teammates who keep getting inspired by their enigmatic leader.
To mark the occasion, Virat penned a letter to his 15-year-old self. In a touching note that he posted it twitter, Kohli is seen giving advice to his younger self. Asking himself to follow his dreams and not be afraid of taking on any challenges. The global icon also reiterates the significance of family and the fact that the ‘unconditional love’ you receive from your loved ones is unmatchable. In the letter, he addresses the importance of a journey rather than a destination, the virtue of believing in himself and always rising after a fall.
Star network is releasing an animated series “Super V” based on Virat’s life to celebrate the occasion. It can be seen today at 3:30 pm on Star Sports, Disney Channel & Hotstar. It is inspired by Kohli’s childhood in which a 15-year-old cricket prodigy discovers his superpowers & goes on to fight villains to fight the world. Virat had added at an event, “I had the opportunity to connect with Super V and give him a little clarity in thought. In today’s world, children are always looking up to superheroes for inspiration, and I believe Super V aims to send out the right message to young viewers. I am ecstatic to be a part of this concept and to be associated with Star”.
After the holidays Virat is slated to return for playing the test series against Bangladesh. And fans will be expecting more of the same from his willow.
