Mauricio Pochettino wants to stay as Tottenham boss for the next two decades and hinted that he could spend the rest of his career in Tottenham- but fears he could be treated unfairly like Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
The 46-year old Argentine’s title-chasers host Chelsea in a Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday and spoke to media ahead of it.
“I hope or wish to be here for 20 years and decide to leave or finish my career here”
“I am so focused here and I wanted to help the club what it want to be in history”, he commented.
He observed the reign of his former north London rival Wenger and admits that he would like to have an opportunity to interview the Frenchman.
Despite all his successes, many Gunners’ fans had turned against Wenger by the end last summer. Pochettino hopes to emulate the longevity of Arsene Wenger and said,” I am not sure whether he was happy in the way that he finished. What I saw from my viewpoint, it was so unfair the way how people treated him”.
Pochettino was linked previously with Manchester United and Real Madrid as both the clubs are now temporarily assigned with managers.
