Patna will roar against Jaipur on Friday, the 26th in the Inter Zone Challenge match of their home leg at the Pro Kabaddi League Season 6. The two groups are playing after an interval and would have enough time to regroup and talk about what blunders they have made this season so far. The Jaipur team has won 1 out of 3 matches while Patna has won 2 out of 4 matches.
Jaipur has looked great protectively, however, have been standard in the attacking front and haven’t finished matches off. Anup Kumar has not been taking care of the business, scoring only 12 points in 3 matches. Deepak Niwas Hooda could have improved the situation as a lead raider, scoring 21 points. It was Nitin Rawal who protected the group against Haryana and has looked great in the strikes and has a couple of tackle points to his name. He has scored 23 points. Mohit Chhillar and Sandeep Kumar Dhull have been great, scoring 8 and 9 points individually. They have consolidated well, but have been questionable too on a couple of events and had no help from the Bajirao Hoadgae, the experienced player in the cover position, who has scored only 1 point from 3 matches. Deepak and Nitin have contributed with profitable tackles, including 3 Super Tackles.
Patna has not been awful in the raiding division but instead has fallen short in defense. Pardeep has 46 points from 4 matches but he had not so impressive performance in the last match against the Andhra team when Mighani had the better of him. Manjeet has been splendid, scoring 23 points from 3 matches and has a not out level of 91%, or, in other words. Deepak Narwal will need to perform better with a regular run of 20 points in 4 matches. Jaideep has been the best defender for Patna, scoring 10 points in 4 matches and that shows how inadequately they have performed. Jawahar Dagar must be given another shot at the right corner where he should join with Jaideep as he did last season. Kuldeep Singh must be given another shot in the cover position for him to demonstrate his capacity to complete off handles. Vijay, the all-rounder, has looked great with 24 points and has been great when the Super Tackle was accessible getting 2 of them.
Jaipur will hope to change over their points into wins as they hope to keep up their levelheadedness towards the end which something you don’t typically connect with Anup Kumar’s group. Patna, then again, must be cautious and develop with all due respect and not jump into tackles.
Tentative 7 players aligned for each team
Patna Team: (Captain) Pardeep Narwal, Jawahar Dagar, Jaideep, Manjeet, Kuldeep Singh, Deepak Narwal, Vijay
Jaipur Team: (Captain) Anup Kumar, Nitin Rawal, Mohit Chhillar, Amit Kumar, Bajirao Hoadgae, Sandeep Dhull, Deepak Niwas Hooda
Raiders
Pardeep Narwal, Anup Kumar and Manjeet
Pardeep Narwal has been consistent in all the matches so far and will maintain his consistency in tomorrow’s match too. Manjeet as a surprise package is expected to cast his magic all over again and acquire points for himself and his team in tomorrow’s match. Anup has been in great form and will be hoped to showcase an extraordinarily overwhelming performance in tomorrow’s match.
Defenders
Jaideep and Sandeep Dhull
Jaideep, the left corner defender for the Patna team will be expected to bounce back in tomorrow’s clash with Jaipur because he has been the top defender for the team in the last season scoring 71 points. Dhull’s defensive strategy on the left corner would ensure the addition of some valuable points in the team’s board.
All Rounders
Vijay, Nitin Rawal, and Deepak Niwas Hooda
Nitin’s fast-paced raiding qualities proved deadly for the Mumbai team and with Deepak’s assistance; they will be expected to be fired up for tomorrow’s match. Vijay, although had a hard time against the Tamil team and was seated then, he has done reasonably well post that and would be expected to do well in tomorrow’s match too for the Patna side.
Match Prediction – Patna vs Jaipur
The most favored Jaipur team is hoped to be victorious in tomorrow’s evening match.
