Somethings just refuse to die down. The constant rumours & clarifications of MS Dhoni’s retirement have become a constant theme in the Indian cricketing fraternity. Every once in a while, rumours get triggered and the fans go into meltdown on social media. Yesterday was no different.
Captain Virat Kohli yesterday posted a picture on Twitter & Instagram that reminded of India’s famous victory against Australia in the 2016 T20 World Cup. He said how MSD made him run hard for singles-doubles & how he can never forget that game. Kohli’s tweet sparked rumours and as expected fans went online fearing the worst news.
Although the rumours died down after Chief Selector MSK Prasad said that that there was no update on the 38-year-old bidding adieu to cricket. Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Singh also took to Twitter to call the retirement speculation as rumours.
