The Indian cricket caption, Virat Kohli has sparked outrage on social media over his remarks at a cricket fan who said he preferred English and Australian batsmen to the Indian players.
“I don’t think you should live in India, go and live somewhere else”, Kohli commented in his video recording while he was responding to messages during the launch of his mobile app on Monday.
The video went viral and prompted a tornado of criticism against Kohli on social media.
Kohli later came out in his defense and urged his fans to keep it light. He also asserted that he was being trolled and he backs the freedom of choice.
The Supreme Court- appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) said that they would look into the controversial video.
Meanwhile cricket fans have already start digging out Virat’s old tweets and began to target him with his own words.
The right hander who struck 3 consecutive centuries in the recent ODI against West Indies surpassed batting legend Sachin Tendulker to become the fastest cricketer to reach 10k ODI runs.
