The 27-year-old Neymar faces ban after being charged by UEFA for his online rant in the wake of his side’s Champion League defeat to Manchester United.

Neymar missed the 3-1 second-leg defeat in the last 16 due to the injury and told the match officials “to go f*** yourselves” on the social media after watching on from the sidelines at the Parc des Princes.

When the referee Damir Skomina awarded Manchester United a last minute penalty after a lengthy consultation with VAR, Neymar could only sit as a helpless bystander. Marcus Rashford gave PSG heartbreak when the spot-kick was converted to send the English side through to the quarterfinals.

The frustrated Brazilian wrote after the match on his Instagram page, “This is a disgrace; they put four people who know nothing about football in charge of looking at the replay of VAR.

“It’s not just possible!!! How is a guy going to hold his hand behind his back? Go f*** yourselves.”

Neymar, the world’s most expensive football player could now face a three-match suspension in the Champions League, according to UEFA.
