Bengaluru will stand against Haryana this evening in the Inter-Zone Challenge Week at the Pro Kabaddi League 2018. The Bengaluru team is positioned at the third place in the Zone B table, having played only 3 matches out of which they won 2 of them. Haryana, interestingly, is in the fourth place, although they have already played 7 matches. Haryana put an end to their hopeless performance on a good note with a 34-31 win against Delhi. They had a decent opening match which they won however when their star defender Surender Nada got injured, Haryana’s absence of defensive ability wrongly influenced them as they were uncovered even in the raiding division. Monu Goyat’s sudden change in form and lively play helped the team win against Delhi, and he personally has achieved 43 points from 6 matches. Else, it was Vikas Khandola who was the star player for Haryana.

Protectively the group tried its best to adjust to the absence of Surender Nada and Kuldeep at first played from the left corner, notwithstanding getting a High 5 yet later, he failed out to get 14 points from 7 matches. Sunil in the right corner had a similar story with one High 5 and 13 tackle points in 7 matches. The coming of left cover Parveen, who has been splendid so far with 11 tackle points, has cost the experienced Sachin Shingade his place. Mayur Shivtarkar has looked unverifiable in his job as a right cover. All things considered, the defense was chaotic in the Haryana team and neglected to join those exhibitions into an active trip for the defenders.

The Bengaluru team missed out barely to the home group of Pune on Sunday. Bengaluru, who had the lead, gradually let Pune lead the pack because of Akshay Jadhav’s endeavors. They were trailing by 1 point in the last strike of the match when Kashiling Adake came in to attack and the defensive strength delivered by Pune was incredible as they held up till the end and tackled Kashi to win 24-25. Apart from the loss they had against Pune, Bengaluru has been a steady performer so far. Pawan Sehrawat has undoubtedly made an effect and the Pune defenders were wary and prepared for him; he scored just 6 points. Captain Rohit Kumar’s awful form has been the central inquiry for the Bengaluru team as he scored just 3 points from 7 strikes. Kashi, in spite of being unable to secure the game for Bengaluru, was their best scorer, scoring 8 points from 3 tackles.

Both the groups will hope to push forward in their particular zones. While Bengaluru will need Captain Rohit Kumar to gear up, Haryana will trust that their resistance will marshal up enough quality to tame the Bengaluru raiders, enabling their raiders to work freely.

Tentative 7 players aligned for each team

Bengaluru Team: (Captain) Rohit Kumar, Ashish, Kashiling Adake, Sandeep, Pawan Sehrawat, Mahender Singh, Jasmer Singh

Haryana Team: (Captain) Monu Goyat, Mayur Shivtarkar, Vikas Khandola, Parveen, Naveen, Sunil, Kuldeep Singh

Raiders

Pawan Kumar Sehrawat, Manu Goyat, and Vikas Khandola

Goyat, the skipper from Haryana has recuperated from the poor performance that he delivered in Sonepat and would strive to win the battle against Bengaluru. Khandola, who has topped the chart for Haryana as their lead scorer, will be expected to prevail his form. Pawan is an outstanding raider for the Bengaluru squad and would be hoped to exceed his raiding scores.

Defenders

Parveen, Mahender Singh, and Ashish Kumar Sangwan

The Bengaluru defenders duo Ashish Sangwan and Mahender have partnered well so far to score the tackle points for their team. A pleasant surprise in the shape of Parveen has emerged from the Haryana’s side and he would be looked at as an addition to the starting seven from this point onwards.

All Rounders

Kuldeep Singh

Kuldeep has taken the place of the Nada in the Haryana team and showed a promising performance by putting up excellent tackles so far.

Match Prediction – Bengaluru VS Haryana.

It will be a tough decision as both the teams have fared well so far. We firmly believe that it will be Bengaluru who will steal the show tonight.
