Deepak Chahar gave an unbelievable performance yesterday at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur against Bangladesh in the third T20I to seal the game & the series. His superb hattrick & bowling figures have now entered the record books which will be very difficult to break for another bowler. And he was rightly adjudged Man of the Match & Series for his exploits.

Chasing 175, Bangladesh at one point looked comfortably on course as Mohammed Naim led their charge.  But the Rajasthani Pacer had other ideas. He ended the night with 6 wickets for a paltry 7 runs to record the best figures for any bowler in the T20I format. He also became the first Indian to claim T20 hat-trick in the men’s category. With this, he has added his name to the list of the privileged few who have taken a hattrick for the country. Deservedly, the cricketing fraternity was all praise for the CSK bowler. Legends like Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Harbhajan Singh appreciated his performance.

Here are the best figures in T20Is:

6/8 A Mendis v Zim Hambantota 2012

6/16 A Mendis v Aus Pallekele 2011

6/25 Y Chahal v Eng Bengaluru 2017

Indian bowlers with hat tricks:

T20Is: Deepak Chahar

Teammate Yuzvendra Chahal poked fun at Chahar on Chahal after the game. The former held the record for best T20 bowling figures for an Indian which the later broke yesterday. While introducing Deepak Chahar to the interview, Chahal said: “What do we say in bowling about this man. Aaj Mera hi record tod diya, ‘bade besharam aadmi ho yaar tum’. And we’re loving the healthy rivalry amongst them as long as India comes out victorious!
