The Delhi women’s team is one of the five teams to participate in the inaugural edition of the Women’s T20 League. The league stages of the first-ever women’s tournament will start from March 4 and will see the world’s best cricket players go head-to-head with each other representing their franchise.

In total 22 league stage matches will be played including the eliminator and the final. All the matches of the inaugural season of the much-anticipated league will be held in Mumbai across two venues, DY Patil Stadium and Brabourne Stadium respectively. DC, meanwhile, will be playing the majority of their matches at the DY Patil Stadium.

Needless to say, the Delhi team are known for picking the strongest mentality in cricketing athletes for their roster and the same applied to their women’s team. At the auction, DC made sure they got the best of the lot.

J. Rodrigues

J. Rodrigues is a middle-order player for the India women’s team and is a right-arm off break bowler. She also is 3rd in most runs scored on their test debut matches with a score of 159 over 2 innings, which is also the most of all anyone has scored on their debut in the last 2 decades.

J. Jonassen

An orthodox slow left-arm bowler, Jess is a very versatile bowler and can be used at any stage of the match to turn the game around. A strong pillar of Australian women’s team, Jonassen has taken 91 wickets to her name in 96 innings in the world T20 format with a best display of 5 wickets for 12 runs.
