Indian skipper Virat Kohli who is all set for his upcoming Test series in Australia, starting from December 6, tops the list of the highest earning sportspersons this year in the Forbes India Rich List 2018.

The Indian cricket captain has the Midas touch these days with his earnings increased more than twice that in the last term. Virat who turned into the biggest brand in the Indian market was seen breaking records not only in the field but also making headlines off the field. He and Anushka Sharma are one of the most prominent celebrity couples in India.

The Forbes list is based on the celebrity brand endorsement, projects or salaries and so on. Kohli, who stood second on the list last year stood at a whopping  228.09 crores this year. He is just behind Salman Khan in the overall celebrity list.

In the list of sportspersons, the former Indian captain MS Dhoni with 101.77crore stands second while Sachin Tendulkar continues his presence in the top three with 80crore despite retiring from the cricket years back. PV Sindhu is in the fourth on the list with Saina Nehwal occupying the 10th spot in the standings. Hardik Pandya was the biggest gainer who bagged Rs 28.46crores this term from Rs 3.04crores earnings of 2017.
