The wicket hunt of Ravindra Jadeja surpasses the all-time Indian record of the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar in the latest match against Afghanistan. He turns to become the leading wicket-taker of India in the Asia Cup on Tuesday.
Out of 13 matches, he bagged to his account 18 wickets overtaking the batting legend Sachin’s record of taking 17 wickets from 23 matches. Ravichandran Ashwin with 14 wickets from 7 matches is just behind them holding the third position in this record.

Jadeja’s return to the team was proven to be a successful one after Hardik Pandya was ruled out of the tournament with a back injury. The left-arm orthodox bowler earlier removed Javed Ahmadi for five to move level with Tendulkar and later on kicked off Rahmat Shah to achieve this milestone.

He represents Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and Saurashtra in the first-class cricket. After a long gap of 18 months, he was recalled back to the team to play against the Bangla Tigers and did a fantastic job of 4/29 in his 10 overs. India comfortably won the match and Jadeja was hailed as the man of the match.
