One of the two new additions in the Indian Premier League, Lucknow Super Giants will be welcoming Delhi Capitals for their IPL 2023 opener on April 1 at the ‘Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee’ Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

They played exceptionally well for a fresh team in their first tournament, Lucknow Super Giants will be looking to strike balance in their line-up and better decision making from their captain KL Rahul. They finished third in the 2022 season and were eliminated by Royal Challengers Bangalore in play-offs. Their entire fanbase will be hoping for a stronger run this campaign.

Lucknow have a strong batting department and were playing up to the expectations last season in their league games. However, this season N. Pooran and L. Ferguson will be game changers for a side that boasts their team strength which is further backed up by a talented pool of players who will look to make amends this time around.

Lucknow is placed in Group A alongside KKR, RR, MI, and DC. The team will play the other five teams in Group B twice and then the remaining four matches against the teams in their own group once, thus making it a total of 14 league games.
