The Mumbai Team is one of the five teams all set to compete in the first-ever women’s exclusive T20 league. Mumbai franchise is the most decorated team in the franchise T20 history having witnessed a number of championships and titles with the men’s team and now the onus is on the women’s side to continue this legacy and winning tradition for the island city.

In total 22 league stage matches will be played including the eliminator and the final. All the matches of the inaugural season of the much-anticipated league will be held in Mumbai across two venues, DY Patil Stadium and Brabourne Stadium respectively. H. Kaur

The Indian national women’s team captain was the first and assured pick for the Mumbai franchise, they had to shell out INR 1.8 crore to add her to the squad. With more than 3000 runs in T20I internationals and a number of major ICC tournaments, she is a leading figurehead of the Mumbai team and therefore named their captain. N. Sciver

Taking a huge dent on their pocket, Mumbai with a bid of INR 1.5 crore were clear about her role in the team and what is expected in terms of quality and talent. Having debuted for India only in 2021, there is a long way to for the 22-year-old rising star. A stage like Women’s T20 is where she could really blossom and cement herself as the next big thing.

Kaur is yet another young prospect the Blues are banking on, the 23-year-old is one the rising star in Indian cricket.
