  • Blind Bets : In some variations of poker, such as Texas Hold'em, the two players to the left of the dealer are required to make blind bets before the cards are dealt. The player directly to the left of the dealer must make a small blind bet, and the player two seats to the left must make a big blind bet, which is usually is twice the amount of the small blind.

  • Pre-Flop Betting : After the blind bets have been made, each player is dealt two cards, and the first betting round, known as the pre-flop betting round, begins with the player to the left of the big blind.
