Solo Ludo Tournament

• In the Solo Ludo Tournament, every player will get the token colour i.e. red, blue, green, and yellow for every match. All four tokens will be outside the starting square in all four corners of the virtual board. Every match has 36 moves at the start of the game.
• In this tournament, you need not roll dice six to make the first move. You can make the first move by any number you get on the dice. Once your turn comes, you will get only 12 seconds to roll the dice. You must do so to avoid losing one of three lives. If you lose all three lives, you will be eliminated from the game.
• Even if you roll dice six, it won’t give you an extra run. Each token has points on the basis of its location. If you capture the opponent’s token will give you the points it contains. You will get an extra run if you capture the opponent’s token.
• If your two or more tokens land on the same block, you will get your dice roll multiplied. For eg. If your two tokens are on the same block and the number on the dice is 5, you will receive 10 points for moving two clubbed tokens. In the same case, if you move three clubbed tokens, you will get 15 points.
• The main objective of the Solo Tournament is to score maximum points in a fixed number of moves in a match. That means you need to get maximum points in 36 moves, including extra moves, in order to win the match.

Multiplayer Ludo Tournament

• In the Multiplayer Ludo Tournament, every player will get the token colour i.e. red, blue, green, and yellow. All four tokens will be outside the starting point in four corners of the virtual board.
• You can make your first token move by any number on the dice, it’s not necessary to be six. But, you will get only 8 seconds to roll the dice, otherwise, you will lose one of three lives in the match. If you lose all three lives, the opponent wins the game.
• If you roll dice 6, you will get an extra run. Even if you capture the opponent’s token or move your tokens to the ‘central’ home triangle, it will grant you an extra run. If your token lands on a ‘star’ marked space, your token is safe from getting captured by the opponents and cannot be sent back to starting positions.
• The main aim of the game of the Multiplayer Ludo Tournament is to score maximum points within a stipulated timeframe of seven minutes or take two tokens home. There is no fixed number of moves. A player who scores the maximum number of points within seven minutes becomes the winner of the game.

• Dice Roll : It is an act of throwing the dice in order to determine the number of spaces a player can move their token.
• Tokens : In Ludo tournaments, there are four different colours of tokens i.e. Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue. Each player will choose the token colour of their choice. These tokens will move around the virtual board by the number shown on the dice.
• Central Home : It is in the middle of the virtual ludo board, where each player aims to move their designated tokens to complete the game.
• Capture : It is a term often used in Ludo tournaments, which means landing on an opponent’s token and sending it back to the starting zone.
• Power-ups : Power-ups are used to double your luck while rolling the dice. There are four power-ups - Low, High, Even, and Odd. Tap on the power-up you want and then tap on the dice. If you tap on Low Power-up, the dice will roll 1,2,3. If you go for High power-up, the dice will roll 4,5,6. Remember, there is a cost for each power-up.

• Move all four tokens simultaneously in order to reach the central home before your opponents do. Use the number on the dice wisely to spread your tokens across the board. This will allow you to form a block or capture the opponent’s tokens.
• Try to block your opponent’s tokens as it will hamper their progress in the game. This way, opponents won’t be able to go past or capture your tokens. Forming a block would be an advantage.
• Always keep your tokens in a safe place. This will help in not getting your tokens captured by the opponents. Never move a token that is about to reach the central home. But, make sure you complete the game in 36 moves (Solo Tournaments) or within the stipulated time of seven minutes (Multiplayer Tournaments).
• Plan your routes properly, so that you can mark safe from getting captured by the opponents. Try to predict where your tokens should be positioned at different stages of the game. This will help you in placing your tokens strategically.
